The short version: We collect information needed to run your account and send invoices. We use cookies, Facebook Ads tracking, and Google Pixel to help us understand how people find and use Primo Invoice so we can improve our marketing. We never sell your personal data.

1. Who we are

Primo Invoice is an invoicing platform for UK tradespeople. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. What data we collect

When you use Primo Invoice we may collect the following:

Account information — your name, email address, business name, phone number, and address
Invoice data — customer names, addresses, job descriptions, and payment amounts
Payment information — processed securely by Stripe; we do not store your card details
Usage data — how you use the platform, pages visited, features used, and time spent
Device and browser data — IP address, browser type, operating system, and device type

3. How we use your data

We use your data to:

Create and manage your Primo Invoice account
Send and process invoices on your behalf
Process payments via Stripe
Send you account notifications, receipts, and product updates
Provide customer support
Improve and develop the Primo Invoice platform
Run and optimise our advertising campaigns (see section 4)

4. Cookies and tracking

Primo Invoice uses cookies and third-party tracking technologies to help us understand how people discover and use our platform, and to run targeted advertising to tradespeople who may benefit from our service.

Facebook Pixel (Meta)

We use the Meta Pixel on our website. This allows Facebook and Instagram to show our ads to people who have visited Primo Invoice, and to measure how effective our advertising is. Meta may collect your IP address, browser information, and pages visited. You can opt out of Meta's tracking via your Facebook ad settings.

Google Pixel (Google Ads & Analytics)

We use Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking. This helps us understand which marketing channels bring people to Primo Invoice and measure the performance of our Google ad campaigns. Google may collect browsing data including pages visited and time on site. You can opt out via Google's opt-out tool.

Essential cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to make the platform function correctly. These cannot be disabled as they are necessary for the service to work.

By using Primo Invoice you consent to the use of these cookies and tracking technologies. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your cookies and adjusting your browser settings, though this may affect your ability to use the platform.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted third parties who help us operate the service:

Stripe — to process payments securely
Supabase — to store your account and invoice data securely
Meta (Facebook) — for advertising and retargeting purposes
Google — for analytics and advertising purposes
Resend / email providers — to send you transactional emails

All third-party providers are required to handle your data securely and in accordance with UK GDPR.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, we will retain your data for 90 days in case you wish to reactivate, after which it is permanently deleted. Invoice records may be retained for up to 7 years for legal and tax compliance purposes.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
Object to or restrict how we process your data
Request a copy of your data in a portable format
Withdraw consent for marketing at any time

8. Data security

We take data security seriously. Your data is stored using Supabase with bank-grade encryption. All connections to Primo Invoice use HTTPS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe and never stored on our servers.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you by email if we make any material changes. Your continued use of Primo Invoice after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
